More than getting the answer

Make sense of the
thinking behind it.

Sometimes a topic needs a different explanation. Sometimes it takes a little more practice, or the freedom to ask a question again.

Theory Tutoring gives students dedicated time to explore ideas, work through challenges and develop a clearer understanding of what they are learning at school.

A thoughtful start

A plan built around the student.

01

Meet & talk.

Start with a free 30–60 minute consultation. We discuss the student's goals, subjects and support needs, and go through tutoring arrangements together.

02

Find the starting point.

The first paid one-hour lesson combines a 30-minute assessment of current understanding with 30 minutes of teaching.

03

Learn & reflect.

Continue with focused lessons and brief progress updates outside teaching time. A goal review after around four weeks helps shape what comes next.

Meet your tutor

Hi, I'm Nikola.

Curiosity is a good place to begin.

I'm studying Advanced Medical Science at Western Sydney University. Having studied Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Advanced at school, I bring that background to personal, one-on-one tutoring.

We can focus on the topics that need more attention, an approaching assessment or a longer-term goal. Students and parents are welcome to discuss concerns and changes to learning priorities along the way.

A few useful details

Before we meet.

Where do lessons take place?

Lessons are in person, one-on-one, at the student's home in a quiet space with minimal distractions, or in an agreed private room at a WSU campus. Campus and room availability are arranged before booking. Theory Tutoring is an independent business, not a WSU service.

Do we need to commit to a full term?

No. Families can book individual lessons without purchasing a package or committing to a minimum term. Cancellation arrangements apply to confirmed bookings and are discussed during the consultation.

Can you help with a different subject or year level?

Enquiries for younger students and other subjects are welcome. Let me know the year level, subject and support you are looking for so we can discuss suitability.

What should we bring to the consultation?

Bring any questions you have and, if useful, recent schoolwork or an assessment outline. We will discuss goals, lesson arrangements and the parent agreement together.
